The basic idea is to assemble the complete wind turbine in port and tow it afloat to the installation site where it is put to use. The Windarc foundation is filled with water and lowered to the seabed in a controlled fashion.

Windarc offshore wind turbine is installed on the seabed to a levelled and prepared area. The foundation also acts as the floating structure during the installation, but the installation equipment specifically designed for this purpose ensures the stability of the turbine.
